When I first met my husband, I hated the sand cherries in his backyard.Today, they have won me over. I love their deep red color and the pretty, light pink flowers that bloom in early spring. I find myself planning what flowers to plant based on what will complement the sand cherries.
If you are looking for a nice shrub to plant, consider a sand cherry.
